Q: Does the ReStore accept personal checks?
A:
Sorry, we do not accept checks.  We do accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover Cards.

Q: Can I return an item I bought?
A:

Q: I found an item I like, but it's too big to take home today, Can I still buy it?
A:

  • Only purchased items too large to fit into the customer's vehicle (as determined by the ReStore staff) will be placed in the ReStore holding area for customer pickup.
  • Items will remain on hold for five business days. Any items not picked up within the five business days (seven days) will incur a $10/day storage charge.  The storage charge begin date is on the receipt.
  • Once the storage charge exceeds the price of the merchandise or the amount paid on the merchandise, the item becomes a donation. Donations are tax-deductible.
  • Customer must bring the receipt with them when they pick up their item.

Q: Can I place an item on hold or layaway?
A:
There is a purchase minimum of $50.00 for a customer to be able to put a 30% down hold on items. The 30% is Nonrefundable.  The hold is only for five business days. Customer must bring the receipt with them when they pick up their item.

Q How are the items priced?
A:
All items are priced between 30 to 70 percent off the retail value. We try to do research online to make sure the prices are low but fair.

A:

Q: Where do the proceeds from the sales go?
A:
All of the proceeds go directly to the Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity, to build homes for low-income families in the Midlands!. Visit the Central SC Habitat for Humanity website (www.habitatcsc.org) for more information.
